Mahjong Free Game is an independent website run by Kamel Medlej. It offers a free Mahjong Solitaire game, lessons for American, Hong Kong, and Riichi mahjong, interactive trainers, and free printables. You do not need an account, and your progress stays on your device.
Why this site exists
Many mahjong sites let you play, and others tell you the rules. Few do both well. This one tries to take you from “what are these tiles?” to feeling at ease at a real table, with tools that respond to you.

How the site is funded

How we write
We check each rule against at least two sources, and we record them on each page. You can read our editorial policy to see how we work, and to see which pages are still waiting for review by an experienced player.
All tile art, trainers, and writing on this site are original. Some atmospheric images and sounds were created with AI tools or licensed, and our license log is kept with the site’s records.
What we are not
We are not affiliated with the National Mah Jongg League or any game publisher. We do not reproduce the League’s card. To play standard American mahjong, please buy the card from the League.
