We want this site to work for as many people as possible. We test against WCAG 2.2 AA, and we know that automated tests catch only part of what matters. If something does not work for you, please tell us.
In the game
Open Settings in any game to change these:
- Larger tile faces.
- High contrast tiles with stronger colors.
- Color-blind friendly tiles, which change the colors used on the faces.
- Letters and numbers on tiles, on by default.
- Dim blocked tiles, on by default, so that free tiles stand out.
- Reduce motion.
- Sound, off until you turn it on.
- Timer, which you can turn off for a relaxed game.
With a keyboard

With a screen reader
Each tile announces its name, and whether it is free, blocked, or selected. Matches, hints, and the tile count are announced as you play. Trainers use real buttons with labels, and written lessons explain the same material.
On the rest of the site
- A skip link appears at the top of each page.
- Pages use proper headings, labeled navigation, and real HTML text.
- Motion stops or simplifies if your device asks for reduced motion, and no content depends on it.
- Touch targets are at least 44 by 44 pixels.
- Printable pages and PDFs are available for lessons you prefer on paper.
- You can use the language button to translate any page, and right-to-left languages are supported.
Known limits
- The 3D view relies on sight and a pointing device. The regular board is the same game, and it has full keyboard support.
- Machine translations can make mistakes, so English remains the reference.
- Ads, when shown, come from third parties, and we cannot fully control them.
