How to play

Mahjong Solitaire is a single-player tile-matching game. It is not the same game as four-player mahjong.

  1. Find two matching tiles that are both free, then tap each one.
  2. A tile is free when nothing rests on it and its left or right side is open.
  3. Matching tiles leave the board. Clear every tile to win.
  4. Flowers match any flower. Seasons match any season.

Keyboard: arrow keys move between free tiles, Enter chooses, H gives a hint, U undoes, R redoes, P pauses.

No moves left

None of the free tiles match. You can step back, rearrange the remaining tiles, or start fresh. Shuffling keeps the board winnable when it can.

Daily Challenges

Each day brings three small challenges: a Daily Deal of Mahjong Solitaire, a Tile of the Day, and a Daily Discard Puzzle. Everyone gets the same ones, and they change at midnight UTC. There is no account. Your streak is stored on this device, and a missed day simply starts a new one.

Loading the Today's tile and your streak…

Daily Deal

The board above is today’s deal. It is a real, solvable game, and its layout changes each day. Clear it to add to your streak.

Daily Discard Puzzle

See a 14-tile hand, and pick what to throw away. Solve today’s puzzle.

Past games

The panel above links to the past seven days. Those links open the old deal in the regular game. Only today’s deal counts toward your streak.
