Table Companion

The Table Companion is a phone helper for real games. It rolls two dice, keeps track of the dealer and the round, walks you through setup one step at a time, and looks up tiles and terms. It also has an optional turn timer. It keeps your screen on where your browser allows that, and it works without a connection once you have visited. It does not calculate scores, and it never will.

What each part does

• Dice. Rolls two dice, for choosing East and breaking the wall.
• Dealer and wind. Tap Next Dealer after each hand. It moves the dealer around the table, then moves to the next round.
• Turn timer. Optional. Useful for teaching pace, and easy to ignore.
• Setup steps. Pick a style, and it shows one step at a time.
• Quick lookup. Type part of a word to find a tile or a term.

Tips for the table

• Prop your phone where the whole table can see it.
• Use it for the first few hands, then see if you still need it.
• Keep it out of the way of the tiles.
