Loading the Charleston Trainer…
This trainer deals you 13 tiles from a 152-tile set, and it plays the other three seats. You pick three tiles to pass, first to your right, then across, then to your left. After that, you can vote for a second round, in the opposite order, and make a courtesy pass. The trainer comments on each pass, and it stops you if you try to pass a joker.
What to try
- Run through it a few times. The first goal is to remember the order.
- Then set a target. Try to end with more pungs and pairs than you started with.
- Try the second round. See how much it changes your hand, then try stopping after the first.
What the feedback means
The trainer counts your pungs, pairs, flowers, and jokers. It does not know the League’s card, and it does not tell you which hand to play. Real decisions depend on the hands on your card. Treat the count as a rough guide to how your hand is growing.
The bots keep jokers, and they pass their loneliest tiles. Real players will often do the same.
The order, once more
| Round | Order | Required? |
|---|---|---|
| First Charleston | Right, across, left | Yes |
| Second Charleston | Left, across, right | Only if all agree |
| Courtesy pass | Across, up to 3 tiles | Only if both agree |
