How the levels work

This is Mahjong Solitaire, a single-player matching game. Find two matching tiles that are free, and tap them or slide one onto the other. A tile is free when nothing rests on it and its left or right side is open. Boards get bigger and stacks get taller as you climb, and new kinds of tiles arrive along the way.

Questions

How many levels are there?

There are 300 levels in 12 chapters. Each chapter starts with a smaller board and ends on a big named one, and the last level is the full 144-tile Turtle layout.

How do I earn three stars?

Clear the level with no hints, no shuffles, and no undo. Using a little help earns two stars, and any clear earns one star and opens the next level.

What are coins for?

Coins buy extra hints and shuffles when you run out. You earn them by clearing levels, matching golden tiles, building combos, and opening chests. They cannot be bought and have no cash value.

What are combos?

Match tiles within five seconds of each other to build a combo. Higher combos earn extra coins, and eight in a row is a Super Combo, which lights up your next match for free.

What are golden tiles, ribbon tiles, and Mind levels?

Golden tiles pay extra coins. A ribbon holds a tile closed until you have made the number of matches it shows. On a Mind level, blocked tiles stay face down until they come free, so you have to remember what you saw.

What if I get stuck on a level?

You can undo moves or shuffle the tiles. If you are truly stuck and have nothing left to pay with, the shuffle is free. Every level has a known solution, so it can always be cleared from the start.

Is my progress saved?

Yes. It stays on this device, with no account. To move it to another device, open Settings in the game and create a save code.
